About

We ran this work for a living. So we built the intelligence we always needed

We call it Alex, the intelligence inside Penomic.

We are ex-McKinsey, and we ran the engagements where the deck was the easy part and the analysis behind it was the real work. Alex does the reading, names its sources, and hands you the judgment.

Why this exists

The bottleneck on every high-stakes decision is the same: the work it takes to get from raw inputs to a recommendation you’d actually defend.

Research has to be done. Sources verified. Numbers confidence-checked. Frameworks applied. The narrative shaped. The output produced — slides, memo, model, brief — in a format the room expects. Most of that work is done by analysts. Sometimes a small army of them.

We built Penomic because that analyst-shaped work compresses dramatically when an agentic system does it for you. Not chat. Not search. Not “draft me an outline.” The whole compression — research, synthesis, modeling, artifact — running concurrently and producing the deliverable a senior associate would.

The audience is anyone whose decisions matter and whose calendar can’t absorb another analyst hire. PE and VC dealmakers preparing diligence memos. Corporate strategy teams building board narratives. Consultants shipping client deliverables. Operators who used to hire an agency. Founders who needed a CFO before they could afford one.

— The team

Where it started

Most of the work never reaches the deck

We came out of McKinsey, where the deck is the last two hours of a week that is mostly something else: reading the filings, building the model, and sourcing every figure so it holds up under review.

That work before the work is the real work, and it normally takes a bench of analysts and researchers to do it fast and do it right.

Alex is that bench, for a firm that does not keep one. The reading, the model, the memo, and the deck, every figure traced to the document it came from.

What Alex does with it

  • 1Hand Alex the data room: filings, models, transcripts, contracts
  • 2Reads across every source, citing as it goes
  • 3Structured findings and an executive summary, sourced
  • 4The model, the memo, the deck, committee-ready and editable

Principles

None of this works if you can't trust the output

A number without a source is a liability.

Every figure Alex returns names the document it came from. What it cannot ground, it leaves blank and flags. We would rather show you a gap than hand you a guess.

Your data never becomes our product.

It runs inside your account and never trains a model. The work you do here does not turn up in anyone else’s answer.

A small team should punch like a big one.

A two-person sponsor should put the same diligence in front of a committee as a bank with a floor of associates. Alex is the bench you do not have to hire.

The judgment stays yours.

Alex does the reading and the drafting. You make the call and put your name on it, because every claim sits one click from its source.
